Josh Coates

CEO of Instructure (2010-2018), then Executive Chairman through 2020; led the company's 2015 NYSE IPO and 2020 sale to Thoma Bravo for $1.9B. Previously founded Scale Eight (sold to Intel) and Berkeley Data Systems/Mozy (sold to EMC for $76M). Was an early investor/board member of Instructure starting 2008 while adjunct instructor at BYU.
